Sales questions at UK2 are taken by live chat, telephone and Skype. I spoke with a representative by live chat at length and on numerous occasions, and was completely satisfied. All the reps I spoke with answered each of my questions thoroughly and quickly, and easily linked me to areas of the UK2 website where I could learn more about their company. The ability to contact UK2 by Skype is an excellent bonus and a perfect way for those outside the U.K. to get quick answers free of charge.

New account sign up is handled online and takes about three minutes. I had a welcome letter from UK2 shortly after paying, along with my invoice. Easy as pie!

UK2 takes all major credit cards and PayPal. I never had any trouble with the billing department or my bill statement, but it should be noted that UK2’s billing team is open only weekdays during standard business hours.

Those who wish to pay for their hosting ahead of time can save a significant amount of money. The same plan, paid two years in advance, runs $6.15/month. UK2 is slightly more expensive than other unlimited hosts, but well within the normal range.

Though support is advertised as being available 24/7, I was disappointed to learn that live chat support is not up and running 100% of the time. Trouble ticket support is given 365 days of the year, though it can be slow for tickets not marked as “priority.” Several of my filed trouble tickets took 24-48 hours to be responded to, which unfortunately meant that I had to live with downed databases or other issues for extended periods of time. Could be better!
