Intermedia takes sales questions by live chat, phone and email. I requested a custom quote by email and received a detailed response by email in less than 30 minutes. Intermedia’s staff knows their network and services inside out, and left me feeling confident in their abilities to manage my most important files.

Intermedia allows for new account sign up by online order form or telephone. I signed up online, which involves filling out a short order form, and had my account details immediately sent to my email.

Billing

Intermedia accepts all major credit cards. I was never charged for services I had not ordered, but did have occasion to contact the billing department one time to inquire about an upgrade. Intermedia’s only negative is that their billing department is only open during business hours on weekdays.

Pricing

Intermedia has several plans and services to choose from and in all price ranges. I chose an Office in the Cloud hosting package that included Exchange 2010, premium mailbox and calendar support, Outlook web app, 25 gigabytes of storage and ActiveSync. The cost per mailbox is $7.99/month. Intermedia is slightly more expensive than other hosts, but not out of the normal range.

Even when submitting a ticket at 2am on a Saturday morning, I received a thorough response in less than 15 minutes. Phone wait times are less than 60 seconds and never once did I have to call or write Intermedia twice to clarify anything. Intermedia gives thorough, easy to understand answers. Perfect!
